Its big and easy to read, easy to handle even over a wetsuit. I think it is great.About automatics - they turn off if you don't use them. As as I use this watch specifically for diving I view this as an advantage. Dive watches has gasketing or o-rings that have a finite life, and if you have an electric watch they have (or should) be replace every time the battery is replaced. My electric dive watch was good for about three years until I had to have the battery and gaskets replaced, This was not cheap and must be repeated every few years. On the other hand, my mechanical Seiko will last a lot longer because it will not have to be opened for battery replacment - it will last until the o-rings give out (I'm told about 10 years based on about 100 or so dives a year, and NOT using it for a daily watch). I bought it about a month ago and it's great looking and keeps great time for a non-battery watch. It runs for about 3 days after I take it off and is easy to set and get going again. The band is very comfortable and is easy to adjust to my big wrist. I forget I have it on sometimes. The glow in the dark hands and markers are good and the lightness lasts all night as I wear it to bed for "time check" instead of trying to see the clock radio because I'm visually impaired. The orange face makes it easy to see. I don't dive but this watch is rugged and nice looking at the same time.I highly recommend it. |
