For work I use a cheap Casio with stop watch (increments of 1/100 of second, not 1/10 of second like the Swiss watches), dual time, alarm, night illumination and 10 year battery life. I needed a decent chronograph watch not because I intend to time anything when I go to weddings or other functions, but because they seem to be very popular these days. I did not want to break the bank. The Missus made it clear that if I spend more than 600 dollars she was going to send me to see a psychiatrist.So after days and days of research on the Web I narrowed it down to Victorinox Swiss Army, Tissot, Citizen Eco Drive Atomic and Seiko. Then I went a few times to a mall with several wrist watch dealers. I learned from the vendors that the Citizens came from Hong Kong. It looks good on the wrist. The stop watch is fine but only times for 60 minutes. The alarm works well but is very very quiet! Do not buy this for its alarm function. You can not hear it unless the environment is very quiet. It's a nice poseur watch, but really lacks any other function than telling the time. It's an aesthetic adornment and little else. But it is very good looking! Hence the 4 stars. |
