I was looking for a watch that was: a ladies' size; had a prominent sweep second hand (for physical therapy); a leather band; waterproof; very durable; glowing hands at night; had a way to illuminate at night. After two failed tries, I found this watch and it is great. I love the traditional style, too. It is not a fashion watch. Just a really great hardworking everyday watch. If this is what you are looking for, you will love it, I am sure.

I never used to wear a watch and would always rely on my cell phone for the time, but when I decided to study abroad in East Africa for a semester it came time to buy a watch. I picked this one up cheap but very quickly fell in love with it. I wore it everyday for three and a half months in Africa, in the mud, rain, bug spray, swimming, sweating, showering, everything and it has been wonderful. I love having the date easy to see and the indiglo is great (works as a flashlight in a pinch). The watch is comfortable, durable, waterproof (as far as I've used it), low key and actually quite pretty. The battery it came with just died (one year later) and I can't wait to replace it so I can get back to wearing my favorite watch.

This watch is nice, but could use some improvement. The bad is dark blue and I noticed the other day that some of the dye on the band rubbed off onto one of my shirts. The color from the band also bled onto the underside of the strap as well (specifically, on the strap overlap where band buckles). It looked less casual online than it does in real life - there is some embossed logo on the band and the numbers on the timepiece have a stenciled look. It is definitely more appropriate for weekends. I'll be keeping it since I've already worn and cannot return, but won't be wearing it with any white shirts to my workplace. It is a good size, and the numbers are readable, but it's just not what I was after - which is a dressier/work appropriate watch with a non-bleeding navy strap.
