I purchased this watch hoping to replace an aging Timex with something larger and easier to read. It definitely fits the bill on size and legibility. Amazon sent the wrong watch initially, which I returned. That was black on black and the numbers were far too difficult to read. The regular black/silver combo is much better.Now to the watch construction, the core of my dissatisfaction. I expected a Columbia product to hold up well given its rugged reputation. The large button fell out of the watch within 5 minutes of putting it on. I promptly returned the item to Amazon. It doesn't appear it would be very water-resistant from what I could tell looking inside the cavity where the button had been, nor does it appear the build quality is what you'd expect from Columbia. In sum, it's a nice looking watch with seemingly terrible durability.
