The face seems very large on the wrist and is a bit busy but not too bad. Very easy to setup and use. The only visual drawback is the date window which is tiny and when displaying a 2 digit date it becomes very hard to read. Also note that although the description says this has a black band and bezel, the only black piece is the face. Band and bezel are a dark/smokey glossy grey. The fit, finish, and functionality of this watch is exactly what you'd expect from Seiko. I've bought and sold about 70 fine watches over the past 15 years, but only my trust Seiko SKX007 200m diver has remained with me through it all. I mention that because I've always loved the dependability and robustness of Seiko. Great movements too. The cal.7T94 movement in this watch (SNN237) boasts +/- 10 secs./month accuracy, which is crazy-good. And don't worry about the durability of the ion plating (black finish). NOBODY does IP better than Seiko and the watch will look great for many years to come.BTW, the first thing I did with this watch was get rid of the bracelet. I put the watch on a medium brown (leather) rally strap and it looks far better, IMO. Also, NATO and Zulu nylon straps look great paired with this watch as well.
