It's excellent value for the money you spend on it and makes for an outstanding "starter" watch.It's not all sunshine and rainbows though. A few things to keep in mind: first is that it has a cheap "Casio-style" metal band. It's a bit tricky to add/remove links (you can find instructions around the web; my tool of choice was a push pin). In my experience it is better to wear it a little too tight than a little too loose as it does have a tendency to pinch and pull hairs. Also, keep in mind that this ain't no quartz watch. Mine tends to run about 15-20s fast per day. This means a few times a month you will have to adjust the time. It was the watch I wore day-to-day. I kept my Baume & Mercier, St Dupont, Bulovas in the drawer. Although my SNXJ89 works just fine (a little slow) I have replaced it. Now my daily watch is this Seiko SNKK41K1.This SNKK41K1 keeps better time than the SNXJ89, although they probably have the exact same mechanism, just the luck of the draw. The SNXJ89 hands and points are more luminous and I like the fluted bezel. But, the SNKK41K1 feels more solid, is more accurate, and to my eye, is downright beautiful. I love the band. I love the idea it is mechanical and has a movement consisting of gears and jewels rather than a tuning fork or excitable crystal. The second hand sweep is smooth. I am really happy with this watch.
